Pastor Paul’s sharing: The moving trend of Chinese population & business is toward North. We see that McKinney will be the promise land in the future. Two years ago we prayed for this vision in Plano. We also established McKinney Vision Fellowship in Pastor Wang’s house to do bible study once a week. In the beginning of January this year, we have McKinney fellowship once a month. We hope to start in the church as a neutral location to avoid the thinking of ownership of church. Our need is to have one room in the church so that we can have co-work relationship to do God’s work in one spirit. Then we go for further details such as naming the church (eg. Chinese mission). This is not what we want to do, but God’s work.
We would like to start with one room for fellowship, then Sunday worship in the future. We see the structure & ministry in First Baptist McKinney is very strong. Our church leaders are from the highway direction. Congregations are from local area. Now we just wait for God’s guidance.
Church seminary vision sharing by Pastor Paul: Right now church and seminary have a big gap. Seminary has some gap to prepare church work. Jesus passed His great commission to church. Seminary is for discipleship. This structure has some problem. So I encourage brothers & sisters take church seminary classes. When time is fulfilled, start church seminary in McKinney. Faithfully and practically serve in the church. Spiritual foundation starts from writing spiritual journal and living out of Jesus life.
Pastor Don’s sharing: I went to DTS. In 1995 I came to CCC. On 2002 I became leading pastor. It was way over my head because I had no experience & ability. Pastor Paul has a more practical vision. He shows loyalty and a loving heart. God calls me down to serve. We have a rich relationship. I just see what God wants to use me. I see Pastor Paul’s life & God’s blessing. Pastor Paul leads with God’s love. Our church does biblical teaching. Our worship style is from conservative to celebration.
Time for the Chinese worship:
Rick: Sunday morning is packed now, is afternoon okay?
Pastor Wang: Saturday night.
Bryan: I am looking at carrying out the covenant together with strong relational experience. We can have mutual ownership for the kingdom of God. This is a great opportunity for us. It’s about community & kingdom, not facility.
Bryan: We need to ask our team to pray & have more meeting to talk about this. We want missional impact on the community. We want to build & connect people organically.
