My Brother John Lei

John Lei was born on March 28, 1973 in Taipei, Taiwan. His father was a professor of business management in National Chung Hsing University. His mother stayed at home and brought up her two sons. John unselfishly loved his little brother all through his life.

John and his family moved to Los Angeles in third grade. He went to Loren Miller Elementary School and Horace Mann Junior High in South Central Los Angeles. He and his brother helped their Academic Pentathlon team win fourth place in the Los Angeles Unified School District, the first time in the school history. He then went to Sepulveda Junior High and Monroe High School in the San Fernando Valley. While at Monroe High School, he was on the varsity tennis team and the Academic Decathlon team. Smart, yet humble and hard working, caring and selfless, John had lived every single day to make his family proud.

He moved with his family to Las Vegas and attended UNLV. He trusted in Christ while in college and was baptized on Easter Sunday of 1995. In 1996, He graduated magma cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and worked as an accounting auditor. While in Las Vegas, John served as co-leader of the Living Word Christian Church in Las Vegas and led them for three years.

John moved again to San Jose in 1999 and worked at Fairchild Semiconductor. With a humble beginning, he became controller and manager and finally Finance director at NEC. In the meantime, John went to River of Life Christian Church. He served as small group leader and was recognized as the "quietest small group leader." He was also voted to the board of directors at River of Life Christian Church and served as chairman last year. In addition, John went on mission trips to Cambodia (despite the SARS scare), Tibet, Taiwan, and Africa.

John was a very happy person. His smile and genuine care for people around him made everyone feel happy. He is a servant leader who serves in the background where no one sees, but God sees.

On Sept. 29, 2007, he and the love of his life Angie Qian got married in a God-glorifying wedding service at his church. Their heart is their marriage and life may bring glory to God.
After John trusted in Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior 13 years ago, he has been a faithful disciple. He lived a sacrificial Christ-like life for others. He completed his mission on earth on March 22, 2008, the day before Easter Sunday and now is with the Lord, awaiting our resurrection in the new heaven and earth.

雷高弟兄生平

雷高弟兄於1973年3月28日出生在台灣台北市，父親是中興大學的商學教授，母親則在家專心撫育兩個兒子。終其一生，雷高弟兄都是個無私疼愛弟弟的好兄長。

雷高弟兄於小學三年級時與家人移民至加州洛杉磯，他進入位於洛城中南區的Loren Miller小學及Horace Mann初中就讀。他們兄弟倆曾代表學校在洛杉磯聯合校區學術五項全能競賽中榮獲第四名，創下該校首例。雷高弟兄接著轉學至位於San Fernando Valley的Sepulveda初中及Monroe高中，高中時代加入網球校隊，也是學術十項全能的選手。他的才智、謙虛及勤奮，以及無私關心別人的個性，讓他周圍的朋友時時引以為榮。

高中畢業後，雷高弟兄一家遷往拉斯維加斯，他進入內華達大學拉斯維加斯分校讀書。他在大學校園內開始信靠神，並在1995年復活節主日受洗。1996年，他以榮譽學生身份畢業，獲得會計學士學位，並開始擔任會計稽查員。在拉斯維加斯時，雷高弟兄加入Living Word Christian Church服事團隊有三年之久.

雷高弟兄於1999年搬來聖荷西，在Fairchild半導體公司任職。他從基層作起，逐步升遷成為公司財務經理，最後並成為NEC公司的財務長。 雷高弟兄是矽谷生命河靈糧堂的成員，他在教會帶領小組，曾被喻為「最惜字如金」的小組長。他於兩年前當選教會理事，並於去年擔任教會理事會主席的職務。雷高弟兄曾多次加入短宣隊，如在SARS流行期間前往柬埔寨，也曾在西藏、台灣、非洲等地事奉。

雷高弟兄是個快樂的人，他的笑容及對別人的真誠關懷，都讓周圍的人如沐春風；他服事的心態也是在幕後幫忙，不為人知，但上帝卻會記念。

2007年9曰29日，在教會舉行、尊主為大的結婚儀式中，他與摯愛Angie Qian結為連理，他們倆的心志是以自己的婚姻與生命一生榮耀神。

十三年來，雷高弟兄信靠耶穌基督為救主，他一直是個忠心的信徒，以耶穌犧牲、服事別人為榜樣。他在2008年3月22日，復活節前一天，完成了在地上的任務，安息主懷，期待在新天新地中與眾聖徒一同復活。
