I met bro Lee only since Aug of 2007. It was only towards the latter part of 2007 that I found out that he is the eldest brother of my kind and loving friend Pearl Lee Li Chu.我是從2007年八月遇見李弟兄，直到2007年下旬我才發現他是我親愛的朋友李麗珠的大哥。

Here is the story of how we met.我們認識的故事是這樣的：

Every Wed night I attended the DCFC 's Chinese Prayer meeting. Eventhough I can only understand about 30% of what is going on, I felt the need to be surrounded by prayers as my husband Curtis was battling bone cancer since 2004. Since then , I was the only member of the English speaking congregation there.每週三晚我參加恩友堂的禱告會。雖然我只能聽的懂30%，我感到我需要被禱告所環繞，因我先生Curtis自2004年就與骨癌在搏鬥。從那時起，我是唯一說英語的會眾。

He was but a stranger to me. He only spoke Mandarin- a language that I was only able to converse at a very simple level. I have seen him at the Wed prayer meetings but we only nodded and smiled at each other. In Aug 2007 the pastor announced that Curtis's bone cancer had came back for the 3rd time. After the prayer meeting , bro. Lee came and introduced himself.他對我而言不過是個陌生人，他只說中文(一種我只能用很簡單的程度交談的語言)。我在週三到告會見到他，但我們只是彼此微笑、點點頭。2007年八月牧師宣佈Curtis的骨癌第三度復發，禱告會結束後，李弟兄來找我，並且自我介紹。

It is said that the kindness of a stranger is the purest type because there are no strings attached. Since that night in Aug., without fail, bro Lee would call every week to find out how Curtis is doing. He offered prayers and words of comfort and strength. And every Wed. night, he would also unceasingly asked about Curtis. Besides words of encouragements and love, he also brought precious Chinese herbs.
有人說陌生人的仁慈是最單純的，因為它沒有附帶條件。自從八月的那晚，李弟兄一定每週打電話問Curtis的情況，他給予禱告和安慰得力量的話。而且每週三晚，他總是不間斷的問到Curtis。除了說愛的鼓勵的話，他也帶來珍貴的中國草藥。

Despite our language barriers, a few things were obvious:
儘管我們語言上的隔閤，有一些東西是明顯的：

....His concern for Curtis's well-being was genuine and transcended our language barrier.他對Curtis康健的關心是真誠的，並且超越了我們語言上的障礙。

....He was generous with his time and gifts,他對慷慨的付出自己的時間與禮物。

....This is indeed a Godly man who loves God and truly cares for the well-being of his fellow brothers- and sisters -in- Christ.他誠然是一位敬虔愛主，並且在主裏面真心關懷弟兄姊妹的康健。

....Bro Lee has been one of my most reliable pillar of strength and source of comfort and encouragement 李弟兄成為我最信賴的支撐力量及安慰鼓勵的來源之一。

In February this year, Curtis's cancer came back for the 4th time. Without fail, bro Lee was there with his weekly calls and prayers. Before Curtis's surgery in MD Anderson, Houston on March 10th , brother Lee called and promised to visit after Curtis is discharged from the hospital. He also promised to bring a friend as an interpreter as Curtis doesn't understand Mandarin. 今年二月，Curtis的癌症四度復發，李弟兄無誤的每週打電話來禱告。3/10Curtis去休士頓MD Anderson開刀之前，李弟兄來電話並保證等Curtis出院後會去探望。他也保證會帶一位朋友去當翻譯，因Curtis聽不懂中文。

Upon our return from MD Anderson, we were greatly saddened to hear that bro Lee's visit was not to be .當我們從 MD Anderson回來，我們十分難過聽到李弟兄的來訪無法實現。

Our hearts are saddened because a loving and Godly man is gone from our midst but the heavenly skies are ever brighter because of bro Lee's presence.我們的心情很悲傷，因為一位敬虔愛主的人從我們當中離去，但天國的天空因李弟兄的出席而更明亮。

I am also saddened that there is no more "Ta Ker" ( Big brother) calling me every week with spiritual words of encouragements and wisdom.我也因為每週再也沒有〝大哥〞打電話給我屬靈話語的鼓勵與智慧而感到難過。

My family is truly blessed and honored to be loved by such a wonderful, kind and loving man of God.我的家人被李弟兄這樣一位仁慈、有愛心的屬神的人所愛，是何等的蒙福並感到光榮。
